Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor from America. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended on August 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), teacher and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was the venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and has been a participant in Passover meals.
